Algodoo is a 2D physics sandbox, which allows users to construct, deconstruct and mess around with virtual objects in a two-dimensional world governed by Newtonian mechanics. The software is especially engaging on large touch-screens, which we will also use in the workshop. The participants will get a chance to get creative and engage with others in collaborative activities shaped by their own interests. We will discuss the potential uses of Algodoo in informal and/or formal teaching and learning of physics, engineering and other related topics. Students, teachers and everyone else is welcome to attend! Participants are encouraged to bring a laptop or a tablet with Algodoo installed. It is freely available from www.algodoo.com.
